1. Youre actually really smart for a girl. show to me while on a date. The young man decided to voice his approval of me after I state something levelheaded and insightful, as if women arnt supposed to assume those qualities. Can you believe that? He still doesnt understand why. Does that surprise anyone? 2. People who tint they have the right, and feel that they are empower to comment on the mood I look. This happens often. To me it doesnt matter if the commentary is affirmatory or ban - the point is that they feel they have the right to impose a judgement... about the way I look. What gives them the right? What is it that makes them feel entitled? I dont hear them saying this to other male person colleagues. Some women will say Jesus, why cant you undecomposed take a compliment, or why are you so negative. To that I say, well when will the positive reinforcement ever going to be about something other than looks?

Why are looks, something that really doesnt have anything to do with giving or skill, so important? Whenever male colleagues make judgements, I become more conscious of my appearence, and I feel as though I am being objectified... watched... monitored. Its an awful feeling, and it makes me feel vulnerable and sexualized. Thanks but no thanks. I dont need to know that my hand looks sexy (this was actually said to me).
