Discrimination and Harassment

Dont judge a book by its cover is a famous quote but no one seems to follow it, people still discriminate and kick up me due to my race, religion, and natural appearance. Moving to a nonher country was rocky enough but having to deal with the discrimination and harassment make it worse. I had to find a job, observe my education, and make radical friends but it all went down the drain just because of my religion, race, and physical appearance. To being with, I just locomote to America from Pakistan not too long ago. In October 2001 when I newly moved here, I was discriminated and harassed against from the start. The 9/11 terrorist attack unnatural my life drastically. Although the attack was caused by one man, every Moslem was played down upon. After that nous on, as a Pakistani Muslim, finding a job for me was then impossible. I was denominate as a terrorist just because of my religion and race. When I go out for job interviews, everything is going well but as soon as the employer reads where I came from, I am mechanically seen as a bad person or terrorist and do not get the job. Pursuing this further, people always look at me strangely because I am a Muslim, which is why making new friends at this new country was a difficult task for me.

Instead of looking at me as a whole, people only looked at me as a Pakistani Muslim and were not sociable after that point on. Harassment was a big thing in my sociable life. There has not been a day where someone has not said go back to your country or something closely me having a bomb just because I am a Pakistani. After a while, as people got to know me, it was usual for someone to talk about me being a terrorist as I walked into the room. For that reason no one took me seriously or even try to get to know me as a friend. I was left as the laughing stalk for everyone.
